Please include h2's dist-upgrade script with the next cd iso, its small and seems to be ready to be useful right from a new install. Such a useful little app for new users.

After it is used once and upgrades to new xorg,is it even needed anymore?

not needed but useful. it's a comfortable way to do dist-upgrades, kernel-updates and related stuff.
it also includes latest dist-upgrade warnings and fixes, so it makes dist-upgrade even a bit safer.
